The final edition of the Vivisect Playset opened and I was lucky enough to be involved alongside Alex Pardee, Amy Sol, Luke Chueh, and Travis Louie among others.

black bear  I have recently been showing work at gallery 1988 in San Francisco and Los Angeles, this is a piece I had in the vivisect playset V show last winter. This year is the last year of the vivisect art show and I was invited back again so I'm starting work for the show now. The show will be at gallery 1988 in Los Angeles this December. here is a link to last years work: Vivisect

| I have a baby now |

indigo wren it's been sometime so I thought I'd let you know that I and my wife Jessica have had a baby girl named Indigo Wren, for about eight months. we've decided to keep her on as long as she pulls her weight. all she has to do is breath and she's pulled her weight though. plus she's a snappy dresser. Indigo was born the day before Jessica's birthday. I like to say they hold hands on the calendar. I, in the meantime, have gotten more and more busy with my dayjob and have been barely getting work done for a gallery in California, I've been in some group shows and I'm still being in group shows, so I'll post stuff as it comes along. I'll have a bigger show in LA this summer so I'll be posting more work more regularly, and also I hope to make some tshirts to post here for fun because my job is basically making tshirts for other people and I feel like making some for me! hope everyone is enjoying the onset of fall as much as us, take care, --ben  Posted via LiveJournal.app.

I can't believe it's been two months since I've painted. I've been pretty far from the studio lately, but I'm going to get back to it real soon. Here is a print I did for an arts council fundraiser last week. It's a bastardized mutant from an older painting I did.  allright, I'm going to do a painting next week, I'm depressed that I haven't been able to lately. My studio's a freaking mess, I've been working on the house... other things. If I don't get a painting done soon ... I suck. |
